You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

The oldest project of PQ’s that we could find was a small production of Clark Gesner’s subtle stage musical. Paulo played Schroeder. The play was directed by Rem Johannsen, with the help of Gesner himself. This would be the last production that Gesner would work on before his death in 2002.

PQ on working with Clark Gesner: "He wasn't really very actively involved in the project, so I can't claim to have known him very well. [Rem] Johannsen was an old friend of his, so that's why he was involved at all. He was a teddy bear of a man. I remember he gave us notes so gently, as if we might be offended by them. But he was incisive with his critiques, and he really made us better."
