Terry Johnson's Hysteria is equal parts farce, historical drama, and psychological exploration. PQ took on the difficult role of Salvador Dali and delivered a well-reviewed comic performance. Greg Taubman, a long time friend of Quiros', played the role of Sigmund Freud. Rosemary Rodriguez directed.
PQ on Hysteria: "I loved working on that show. We had a great time making it, and I got to play Dali, who was just a blast to do. And it worked out for me because the play got really good word of mouth and a lot of people ended up seeing it. After that show, the next several roles I played were offered to me by people who had first seen me play Dali."
A local newspaper, the town topics, saw this early performance of his and had this to say about the young PQ: "Mr. Quiros plays this wildly caricatured version of the young Salvador Dali with energy and a deft touch for physical comedy."
